Service We Provide
When Hague or diplomatic service would take too long, has failed, or isn't available, federal courts can order another method under FRCP Rule 4(f)(3) — as long as it isn't prohibited by international agreement. We support counsel with the diligence record and the service itself once the court approves it.
Formal international channels can take many months, and some countries are effectively unreachable through them. Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(f)(3) lets a court order another method of service abroad, provided it isn't prohibited by international agreement — and courts increasingly grant these motions when the record supports them.
We build that record: documented locate efforts, attempted service, and research into the destination country's treaty objections. Once the court approves an alternative method, such as email or service on U.S. counsel, we carry it out and return proof ready for filing.
Whatever the document, our team has the experience to execute your specific request and route it through the right channel the first time.
Decades of working relationships with Central Authorities and local agents mean your documents move through the correct process, wherever they're headed.
Since 1982, we've built a track record litigators rely on — documented, court-ready service performed to FRCP 4(f) standards.

Request ServiceMany courts don't strictly require it, but judges want to see why alternative service is justified — for example delay, a failed attempt, or an evasive defendant. A documented diligence record makes the motion much stronger.
Courts have approved email, service on a defendant's U.S. counsel, and in some cases social media or messaging apps. What's acceptable depends on the judge, the country and whether that method is prohibited by treaty.

"We were dealing with a defendant actively hiding behind gated security, tinted windows, and erratic schedules. Their investigators ran discreet surveillance, identified a consistent departure pattern, and completed drop service strictly within statutory compliance. The court denied the defendant’s motion to quash immediately"

"Managing high-volume discovery across multiple health networks and custodians is normally a logistical nightmare. They served our deposition subpoenas, tracked every custodian deadline, and delivered organized, certified records well before our discovery deadline. Impeccable communication throughout."
